European Social Fund Plus (ESF+)
The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) is the main financial instrument of the European Union (EU) to improve employment and education opportunities as well as economic and social cohesion in the European Union.
It aims to create equal opportunities for all people in the labour market and therefore promotes, among other things, measures to prevent and combat unemployment, to expand training opportunities and to improve the functioning of the labour market.
For this reason, the ESF+ focuses on measures to improve equality between women and men, including access to employment, work-life balance and the promotion of the principle of equal pay for equal work.
Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection
Section IX/A/9 European Social Fund (ESF Managing Authority) of the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK) is responsible for ESF+ projects in Austria.
